Regine Sixt

The Grande Dame of SIXT runs two organisations with equal success: Drying Little Tears, her global Regine Sixt Children's Aid Foundation, and the car rental company SIXT itself, one of Germany's most successful and genuinely global brands, founded in 1912.

Founded in 2000, Drying Little Tears has delivered more than 420 projects in over 70 countries, supporting children through education, health, welfare and emergency aid, from kindergartens in London to hospitals in Kyiv.

Her own involvement is the point. She wants to see how the help arrives, which is why she visits the projects herself and meets the people who make them possible.

That principle shows in the foundation's structure: SIXT employees in 110 countries volunteer their time, and once a year Drying Little Tears Day mobilises thousands of them to spend a full day helping children.
